ABOUT PRO DRUMMER AND INSTRUCTOR PATRICK RILEY
Patrick began playing at the age of nine. Early influences include John Bonham, Phil Collins, Neil Peart, Nicko Mcbrain, and Keith Moon.
Later, Patrick began being heavily influenced by jazz greats such as Max Roach, Philly Joe Jones, Elvin Jones and Tony Williams.
Patrick Riley is a multifaceted drummer with many styles in his expertise.
Patrick has studied the art of drumming with well-known teachers such as Peter Erskine in Los Angeles and John Riley in New York City.
Performance has included a wide assortment of musical groups including rock bands, salsa bands, country bands, big bands, jazz combos,
musical show bands and a variety of other musical configurations.
Patrick has played with such artists as The Arizona Big band, The Terry Mcfee Orchestra,
Armand Boatman Quartet, Dave Cook Trio, Disney Musical Productions and other's.
Patrick has toured Europe and shared the stage with Vanilla Fudge, Ten Years After, Eric Burden and the Animals and the Blues Brothers.
Patrick is currently working with the The Terry Mcfee Orchestra and The Arizona Big band.
In addition to working with these bands Patrick teaches drumming full-time at his private studio.
Patrick has recently released one of the most comprehensive instructional books ever written for drum set; Drum Set Grooves for All Styles.
